Tim C. Medley, CFP is involved in setting and implementing financial and investment policy for our clients. He has been in the investment business since 1967 and has been registered as an investment advisor with the Securities and Exchange Commission, either corporately or individually, since 1977. Prior to the formation of his company, Tim was with a national brokerage firm where he did financial planning for his clients. He has been a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) since 1977. Tim’s opinions on financial planning and investing have appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Money Magazine, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Fortune, Barron’s, and Investors Business Daily. Cecil Brown, CPA joined the firm in October 1995. He was previously associated with Investek Capital Management, a fixed income investment advisor. Cecil has also served as Chief Fiscal Officer for the State of Mississippi and as Governor's Chief of Staff. He is a CPA who operated his own public accounting firm in Jackson, MS for 17 years. He has been awarded the Personal Financial Specialist designation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Cecil is the firm’s Chief Compliance Officer and is involved in the development of financial and investment policy. He also works with clients in the management of their portfolios. Julius Ridgway, CFA, joined Medley & Brown, LLC, in July 2002, having previously managed portfolios for private clients at other firms since 1999. Before entering the investment business, Julius spent nine years in various aspects of banking and real estate, including eight years with Trustmark National Bank. Julius' primary responsibility is the management of client portfolios that are invested in individual stocks. He is also involved with Tim and Cecil in setting investment policy and conducting due diligence on mutual funds. Julius received a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics in 1998, an MBA from Millsaps College in 1993 and a B.A. in History from the University of Mississippi in 1990. He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of CFA Institute. Julius serves on the advisory board of the General Louis Wilson Fund, a student-run fund at Millsaps College, where he is also an occasional guest speaker, both in the classroom and at alumni functions. Eddie Carlisle joined Medley & Brown, LLC, in May 2006, having practiced law at Watkins & Eager, PLLC for five years in various fields including commercial transactions, general business, taxation, estate planning and litigation. He had previously practiced law at Daniel Coker Horton & Bell, P.A. Eddie received his B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Mississippi College in 1994, a J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1997, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of Florida in 2001. Doug Muenzenmay, CFA, joined Medley & Brown, LLC, in April 2010. Doug has 19 years of capital markets experience including managing mutual funds that invest in large-, mid- and small-capitalization companies along with taxable and tax-free bonds. In addition, he has also provided portfolio management for individuals, institutions and endowments. Doug received his Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Iowa and his Masters of Business Administration degree from Mississippi College, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor. Marie Brewer joined Medley & Brown, LLC, in November, 1997 after completing her Associates Degree with a focus in Accounting at Hinds Community College where she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Beth Braswell joined Medley & Brown, LLC, in March of 2004. As a member of the Operations team, Beth is primarily responsible for opening new accounts, handling account transfers and general client assistance.
